Chief Nursing Officer
Naser Shwaihet is the Acting Chief Nursing Officer and Director of Quality Department at
Aldara Hospital and Medical
Center (AHMC) where he is responsible for directing the overall development, implementation
and integration of quality,
safety, and performance improvement programs. He also oversees the nursing department at
AHMC and serves as the primary
spokesperson for nurses, as well as aligns the nursing staff with the mission, values, and
vision of Aldara in order to
meet quality standards within the clinical regulations and methods, and Aldara’s adopted
policies and procedures.
Naser has more than 22 years of experience in healthcare. He had a long experience in one of the tertiary hospitals at KSA where he served as Staff Nurses, Clinical Nurse Coordinator, Nurse Educator, Nursing Quality Director, and Magnet Program Director. He also actively participated in different national and international activities such as the National Reporting Project (Sawtak Project) which was led by the Saudi Patient Safety Center (SPSC), implementing Datix and MCN Policy Management systems at AHMC, and publishing research studies in international journals.
Naser holds bachelor’s degree in nursing from the Jordan University of Science and Technology, Jordan (1999) and Master of Science (MSc) in Nursing from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Medical University of Bahrain (RCSI-MUB, 2013). He also got the following certifications:
● Certified Profession in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification, June 2014
● Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS), May 2016
● Magnet Program Director training, October 2016
● Datix Certified Professional (RLDatix DCP), September 2019
Naser was recognized for his active participation in more than 20 national and international events, conferences and workshops. He was also recognized by the SPSC as a member in the KSA National Reporting Project (Sawtak). He also received several recognitions from his employers for his active role in achieving healthcare accreditations (e.g., JCI, Magner).
